From September 27th, 2011, hundreds of customers have joined DongA Bank in various social responsibility programs. Some of the programs' activities include:  grantingscholarshipsforless fortunate children, giving of new uniforms and stationary to children at orphanage centers inHo Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Da Nang and Can Tho. In total, DongA Bank has spent 250million VND for these meaningful activities.

Program highlights:

• On September 27th, 2011, at Charity Association of Can Tho City, DongA Bank awarded 30 scholarships (each worth1million VND)  for local less fortunate children. DongA Bank also donated various household items and stationary for the charity association such as hot and cold water machines, ceiling fans, book cases,writing boards.

• On September 29th 2011, DongA Bank visitedand presented gifts to the children a Long Hoa orphanage - District 7. At Long Hoa, DongA Bank granted various scholarships to the children with total worth of 20 million VND. Uniforms, school backpacks and stationary were also given for 90 children who are living at the orphanage house. 

• On Oct 4th, 2011, at Society of Learning Promotion, Hai Chau District, Da Nang City, DongA Bank granted 50 scholarships (each worth 1 million VND ) for children with less fortunate financial background. Here DongA Bank also hosted a get-together session and donated stationary for the children.

• On Oct 9th, 2011, at the office of Hanoi Communist Youth Union, DongA Bank awarded 50 scholarships (each worth 1million VND or 1 year tuition fee) for children with less fortunate financial background. DongA Bank also granted a scholarship worth  5million VND for Le Ngoc Nghia, a new student of University of Hanoi Transportation

Although small, the gifts from DongA Bankhave brought a warm and loving feeling to the children.

Supporting and caring about less fortunate children in the society once again reflect DongA Bank's positioning of "The bank with heart, the bank with responsibility". Through these activities, DongA Bank wishes to build a platform so that DongA Bank's customers can participate in various social activities. With various meaningful programs in HCM City, Hanoi, Da Nang, Can Tho, DongA Bank has reallybrought a "loving Mid--autumn festival"for less fortunate children.
